Hello, weary traveler!

Kick off your shoes and stay awhile.

This website has several things, including photos of orchids, link collections of the best queer bloggers money cannot buy, an illustrious newsletter in continuous publication since April of 2020—if you remember that charming month—not to mention music recommendations, reading lists and to-be-read lists, and many secrets.

I loathe the tarpit of social media, how it sucks you in, how you become gluey and feeble in its pitchy embrace and forget how things on the Internet used to be, how each company is seemingly more evil than the last until you wonder how we even got to this point. Like, everyone has a Substack now. Why?!

I cherish the World Wide Web of yore, where you can find the answer to any question, the review of any movie or book you're curious about, rants by evangelical Christian homeschool moms that no one asked to read (I like to read them, though), March Madness animal-vs.-animal competitions produced by biologists working in obscure taxonomic domains, dadis and nonnas and abuelitas publishing family recipes with grainy photos and divine results, detailed hike reports on trails you are about to hike on, all of it. Even Blogspot, and Wordpress and stuff like that. It's all beautiful. That's what I want to have here.

Peepo's Palace is a work in progress, so check back often to see what's new. Correspondence is always welcome on the Contact page or in my guest book if you have any questions or remarks.

See you around! 🌭
